Education & Training – Anesthesia Residency Program
The program has dedicated educational time each week, including a comprehensive didactic conference schedule to provide a solid foundation of anesthesia knowledge and skills. Residents are routinely relieved from clinical duty by faculty so that they can attend these important sessions. The academic year is divided into one month blocks, each with a specific focus. The didactic lecture topics are designed to teach important information about the coinciding monthly focus. Previous monthly topics have included trauma, coexisting disease, pain, geriatric anesthesia, ICU, pediatrics, cardiac/thoracic, vascular/transplant, neuro, and obstetrics.
