Welcome to BMC Catering! We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you. Please review our Catering Menu. After making your selections please fill out the Catering Order Form. Thank you for using our Services.


How to Order
To order catering fill out the Catering Order Form. Once the form has been submitted you will be receive an email confirmation from Laura Elder.

We advise that your catering request be submitted as early as possible to enable us to procure menu items needed for your event. The Food and Nutrition Services Department should receive your request two weeks prior to your event. All functions will be confirmed by fax or e-mail. The following questions will need to be answered when arranging service:

  1. Date of function
  2. Department or Group hosting the function
  3. Location of function
  4. Number of people attending
  5. Start time
  6. Pick-up time
  7. Menu
  8. Special Arrangements
  9. Person calling
  10. Phone Number
  11. Billing Information
  12. BMC cost center number (if applicable)

Cancellations
Cancellations or changes in the number of guests or menu at your function must be made no later than 24 hours prior to the start of your function. Failure to do so will result in financial responsibility for said function. Cancellations of functions involving hot foods must be made at least 72 hours in advance. If not cancelled at least 72 hours prior, there will be a cancellation charge enforced. Thank you.

Delivery
Delivery of all functions will be provided by the Food and Nutrition Services Department.

Pick-Up
When booking your function please indicate a time to pick-up after your event. Food and Nutrition Services will return to pick-up your event at the scheduled time. Equipment and supplies are the responsibility of the host department until the scheduled pick-up time. Any equipment or supplies missing at the scheduled pick-up time will be charged to the host department at replacement cost.

Payment:
Payment can be made by direct charge to cost center, check, or credit card (sorry we cannot accept Discover).


Payment terms are as follows:

  1. The host department will be invoiced for their function.
  2. Payments are due 30 days from the date of invoice.
  3. All outside groups must pre-pay for catered functions.

Room Reservations
Please call General Services at 617.414.5710 to reserve a meeting space and arranging for room set-up with tables and chairs. Please keep in mind that Boston Medical Center has limited supplies of tables and chairs. You may need to rent additional tables and chairs.

Service
All functions will be served on disposable products. China, linen, silverware, glassware and floral arrangements are available at an additional cost. Larger functions or events that take place beyond normal business hours may require additional labor that is not included in the price indicated in our catering menu package. In addition, food and supplies are assembled based on the number of guests attending the event. We do not base the amounts on an all you can eat price. If an event needs additional food or supplies over and above the initial amount requested, the Food and Nutrition Services Department will be more than happy to replenish those supplies at an added cost.

Additional charges may be applied for late functions. There is a $25.00 minimum charge per function.
