Diabetes and Dental Research Study
The Clinical Research Center at Boston University School of Dental Medicine (located at 100 East Newton Street, on the first floor, room 107) is seeking volunteers for a study of diabetes and gum disease.
To participate, you must be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosis of diabetes. Participants will get a free dental exam including dental x-rays and free gum treatment, if needed, depending on your gum conditions. A $20 stipend is paid to you for each visit. You will be provided with parking validation if you drive.
Contact Yudelka Casado, the patient coordinator, or Dr. Hatice Hasturk at 617.638.4571 if you are interested in participating. At your dental visit, a dental hygienist and a gum specialist will exam your teeth and gums, and give you more information about the study. You will also receive a full mouth teeth cleaning at the same visit.
