Geriatrics Hospital Care

Our patients requiring hospitalization are admitted to the Geriatrics Inpatient Service at Boston Medical Center, where the care is directed by one of our doctors. This assures that important information about your care is available and transmitted appropriately at the time of admission and discharge.

The Geriatrics Inpatient Service, specializes in the acute care of older patients. The inpatient care team includes both phsycians and nurses specializing in Geriatrics as well as, when needed, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, social services and discharge planning.

When you are ready to leave the hospital, our inpatient team coordinates with care providers within and outside of the hospital to ensure that you receive the necessary services for your well-being in the community.
