Geriatrics
Research
Physician scientist faculty members carry out bench to population sciences research impacting older adults. All have strong collaborative linkages with other investigators at Boston University, as well as throughout the United States and the world. Funding from the National Institutes of Health supports this work and has been growing steadily over the past five years. The Section provides a strong mentoring environment for junior investigators and is committed to developing them into independent investigators.Clinician educators within the Section are also actively engaged in a range of scholarly activities, including educational and applied research. Both emphasize innovations in teaching Geriatrics and improving the care of vulnerable older adults.
