Over three years ago, Boston Medical Center had a clear and bold vision-to build a best-in-class, centralized cancer and ambulatory care facility that would embody our commitment to provide exceptional care, without exception.

That vision is now a reality with the opening of the Moakley Building. Named in honor of the late Congressman John Joseph Moakley, a devoted champion of BMC, the building is designed to create an exceptional patient experience by bringing together many programs of clinical excellence and specialty services in one location that will streamline access to care and provide patients with the latest in technology and treatment.

When you walk through the doors of the Moakley Building, you will immediately appreciate what makes it so special-from the soothing design with a three-story glass curtain wall that overlooks green space and covers the entryway in natural light, to the many colorful pieces of artwork that help to create a friendly and welcoming environment.
