Gregory A Grillone, MD, is the Otolaryngologist-in-Chief at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Grillone is also the M. Stuart Strong and Charles W. Vaughan Professor and Chair of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Grillone's areas of clinical expertise include laryngology and surgery of the upper aerodigestive tract, sleep surgery, laser surgery and head and neck cancer surgery. He has special expertise in minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques to treat benign and malignant diseases of the pharynx, larynx, trachea and nose including throat cancer, papilloma and other benign conditions, amyloid, granulomatosis with polyangiitis, sarcoid, and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia. Dr. Grillone is the recipient of several NIH (National Institutes of Health) grants to study various aspects of head and neck cancer. His research interests include early detection of head and neck cancer and margin guidance in head and neck tumor surgery using spectroscopy.
