Family Support Assessment Clinic
The Family Support Assessment Clinic works collaboratively with the pediatric clinician treating children whose families are experiencing trauma.
General Training Programs
The Good Grief Program provides general training programs, with the premise that in the crisis of loss lies an opportunity for developing and strengthening coping skills in all children.
Preschool Training
Very young children look to the important caregivers in their lives for answers. This workshop will address these issues and will frame them in the greater context of how children make sense of losses and how caring adults can create an environment and offer strategies to children that promotes coping skills and leads to resilience.
Elementary School Trainings
The Good Grief Program is ready to help when there’s a crisis in your school to train your crisis team or to train and support your faculty and staff before a crisis so that you can help promote resilience in your students as they face losses and teach!
Middle/High School Trainings
Children’s developmental paths are often challenged by life’s bumps in the road. Our workshops give teachers and specialists the tools and strategies to gently guide children over the bumps so that they can learn.
Special Education Workshop
This powerful workshop will offer insights into the psychosocial issues that affect the family of the young child with special needs; in particular, the grief “that keeps on giving” and gets stirred up at particular times in the developmental life of the child.
The CIRCLE
Our mission is to provide families with bereavement support in a safe place where they may find individual expression for their loss and develop competence in managing their grief in ways that promote resiliency and self-esteem. The CIRCLE provides direct bereavement support for children and parents or guardians.
