The School Achievement Clinic (SAC), part of the Department of Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center, serves children and young adults ages 7 to 18 with a wide variety of developmental issues such as attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity and learning disabilities that make school especially challenging and inhibit academic progress. The clinic is staffed primarily by developmental and behavioral pediatricians.

Our goal is to help each child we see achieve his or her maximum potential as a student and a learner. School can be a frustrating and daunting challenge for children with learning or developmental disabilities and can lead to low self-esteem, depression and anxiety. However, many learning and developmental disabilities can be successfully addressed in cooperation with teachers and other school personnel.

As a resource to families navigating the special education system, the following brochure has been developed as an aid to Boston area families, All Boston (and you) Can Do For Your Child.
