Our Team


Karen Mattie – MSPT, Director
Karen is the Director of In-Patient and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services at BMC. Utilizing her extensive clinical and managerial experience, she has been instrumental in developing numerous improvements in patient care and increasing the capacity of BMCs rehabilitation services. A 2002 Northeastern University graduate, Karen is also a certified clinical instructor and certified in the Graston Technique . In addition to her duties as Director, Karen is an active clinician with particular interest in patients with orthopedic injuries.

Jenn Blake, - MSPT – Clinical Outpatient Supervisor
A 1998 graduate of Simmons College, Jenn completed a residency program in orthopedic manual therapy at the IOMT in 2003. She is a certified clinical instructor as well as being certified in the Graston Technique . Jenn has extensive experience in orthopedics in the private practice, home health and hospital-based rehabilitation settings. She has been with BMC for over nine years and is our outpatient clinical supervisor.

Kara Schworm –MSPT, CCS, - Clinical In-patient Supervisor
A 1998 graduate of Springfield College, Kara became an APTA Board Certified specialist of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary rehabilitation in 2007. She is our inpatient clinical supervisor. Kara has a strong background in working with patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary pathology and impairments as well as treating patients in acute ICU settings.


Cheryl Anderson – OTR/L
A graduate of Boston University’s Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences, Cheryl has over 25 years of experience at BMC working as an Occupational Therapist. Cheryl also served as the Senior Occupational Therapist at the New England Regional Spinal Cord Center for Rehabilitation at BMC. Cheryl loves working in the supportive team environment and spending time with patients with neurologic challenges.

Gina Berrettoni – PTA
A 2011 graduate of Bay State College, Gina is our physical therapist assistant, treating patients of multiple neurologic diagnoses with great skill and compassion.

Jane Bindley – PT
Jane graduated from Simmons College in 1987 and has been with BMC for over 25 years. She is an expert in many therapies including, but not limited to, process acupuncture, fascial release, lymph drainage massage and Biosynchronistics. Jane loves gardening and being active in community politics and serving as a volunteer leader in the Alternatives to Violence program in the prison systems.

Taylor Bronson – PTA
Taylor graduated in 2011 from Bay State College and delights working with patients with orthopedic and sports injuries. He plans on becoming certified in the Graston Technique  to further advance his clinical knowledge. An avid athlete, Taylor loves to run, ski, play soccer and lacrosse.

Shana Cahill – PT, CLE-UE
A 1991 graduate of Northeastern University, Shana has been with BMC for over 13 years. She is a certified Lymphedema Therapist – Upper Extremity and is also certified in Reiki I. Shana has extensive experience in a variety of settings including acute care inpatient, neurological rehabilitation, orthopedics, pediatrics, home care and long term facilities. She loves to make a difference in people’s lives and in her spare time you will find her singing in her own band!

Diana Carvalho – OTR/L, CHT
Diana graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1998 and is a Certified Hand Specialist. She is very interested in treating patients post-surgically and those who have experience traumatic injuries. During her past 15 years at BMC, Diana embraces the friendly work environment, diversity of the patients and the outstanding learning opportunities that are available at BMC.

Dan Chapman – DPT
Dan is a 2007 graduate of Ithaca College. He has completed a yearlong residency at the Institute of Manual Therapy and has extensive experience with treating musicians, swimmers and patients with orthopedic injuries. When he is not treating patients, Dan enjoys performing improvisational comedy.

Barbara Crosby – PTA
Barbara is one of our talented Physical Therapist Assistants. She has a tremendous amount of experience with long-term care and orthopedic patients. Barbara enjoys working with the diverse patient population that we treat at BMC and along with her colleagues, greatly appreciates the support of her teammates. Barbara has been a physical therapist assistant at BMC for over a year.

Ryan Diloreti - DPT
Ryan graduated from Northeastern University in 2009 and has worked at BMC outpatient physical therapy ever since. He has been the lead therapist in the Aquatic therapy program for two years. He also has experience working with patients with spinal cord injuries using the state-of-the-art locomotor training apparatus. Currently, he is involved with the “Back to Health Study: A Study Comparing Yoga, Physical Therapy , and Education for Chronic Low Back Pain.” He loves speaking Spanish, playing music, and creative writing.

Claire Evans – PTA
Claire graduated from Bay State College in 2012 and serves as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Her duties include assisting in the education and therapeutic treatment of our diverse patient population. Claire enjoys the teamwork and camaraderie of our clinical staff and is always thrilled to work with our patients.

Shayna Hansberry – PT
A graduate of California State University – Sacramento, Shayna has been with BMC for over two years and has extensive clinical experience in treating patients with orthopedic ailments. She thoroughly enjoys working with everyone on the care team and spends her free time traveling, hiking and snowshoeing.

Shaunna Lattuca – PT, DPT, OCS
Shaunna graduated from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions (MGHIHP) Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2007. She enjoys working in the fast-paced, multi-cultural environment here at BMC where she focuses on post-surgical patients and those with sports-related injuries. Shaunna completed the residency program in orthopedics and manual therapy at the MGHIHP in 2011. She is also a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics.

Wendy Regan – OT
Wendy graduated from the University of New Hampshire and has been with BMC for over 35 years. She is a wonderfully talented clinician who is interested in upper extremity injuries, hand and upper extremity splinting. She loves to golf and spend time working on her garden.

Molly Sebo – MSPT
A 1994 graduate of Duquesne University School of Physical Therapy, Molly has over 14 years of experience working in neurologic rehabilitation. She has extensive experience in both spinal cord injury and stroke rehabilitation.

Emily Soltys – DPT
A 2011 graduate of Springfield College, Emily was nominated by her faculty in 2011 for the American Physical Therapy Association’s Ruth P. Hall Clinical Fellowship Award, which recognizes a student for academics and professional qualities of dedication and caring. Emily’s clinical interests include neurologic rehabilitation.

Joseph Sousa – PTA
Joe graduated from Fisher College in 2000 and is one of our most experienced physical therapist assistants. He has extensive experience with pre/post-surgical patients and those with work and sports-related injuries. When he is not working, Joe loves to surf and ride his motorcycle.

Lindsay Troilo – DPT, FAAOMT
A 2005 graduate of Ithaca College, Lindsay is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists and completed Levels I and II at the Institute of Manual Therapy. She is certified in the Graston Technique  as well, helping patients improve function and mobility quickly and effectively. Lindsay has been with BMC for over 7 years and is one of our most dedicated athletes, participating in several marathons, triathlons as well as teaching group exercises.
