Adults Patients

In Patient Care Areas for Adults

For adult patients and families who come to BMC, our basic goal is to make the time spent here pleasant and comfortable. Volunteers support hospital staff so they have more time to spend with our patients.

How You Can Help

• Assist hospitalized patients – visit patients in medical, surgical or oncology areas; help special needs patients as advocates; share computer skills with spinal cord rehab patients.

• Help families – direct and escort families to patients, waiting rooms, and testing areas; provide information about hospital services and lend moral support.

• Patient amenities – talk and read to patients; visit all areas of the hospital with an inpatient book and magazine cart.
