Abductor repair is a way to treat a torn hip abductor. It can also be used to treat pain in this hip tendon.

During the procedure, your surgeon will clean the torn tendon and secure it back to your bone with an anchor and stitches.

You'll need to use crutches for up to six weeks after surgery.
