About

Aala Jaberi, MB, BCh, BAO, is a board-certified nephrologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. After receiving her medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dr. Jaberi completed an internal medicine residency at Mount Auburn Hospital and a nephrology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center. Her research has examined the cellular pathways involved in kidney development and cellular kidney injury. Dr. Jaberi was the recipient of the 2020 Sub-Specialty Teaching Award from BMC’s internal medicine residency program, and the 2021 Clinical Excellence Award from the Boston University Medical Group. She also serves as the medical director of BMC's acute dialysis program.
