About

Tania J Phillips, MD, is a dermatologist and Director of the Dermatology Wound Clinic at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Phillips is also a professor of Dermatology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She specializes in skin aging and wound healing, with a particular expertise on the use of cultured skin and skin substitutes. Presently, she serves as a consultant to the FDA General and Plastic Surgery Devices Advisory Committee and is a member of the Planning Committee for the Symposium of Advanced Wound Care. She has won a number of prestigious dermatologic awards, including the Venous Research Award of the American Venous Forum and the Young Investigator Award of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is on the editorial board of the journals Wounds and Dermatologic Surgery and has co-authored three books and more than 250 scientific publications.
