Campus Construction Update

Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. This, along with the ongoing Yawkey building entrance closure, will help us bring you an even better campus experience that matches the exceptional care you've come to expect. Please enter the Menino and Yawkey buildings through the Moakley building, and make sure to leave extra time to get to your appointment. Thank you for your patience.

Community

We believe a successful professional career is strengthened by meaningful interactions with the community and each other. We have several well-established affinity groups and host networking & social events to build connections between residents, medical students, and faculty within BMC, Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, as well as with neighboring academic medical institutions. The events create opportunities for mentorship, research, and career development.

Research

At Boston Medical Center, research efforts are imperative in helping us give patients quality care. Our 35 research centers and programs, in conjunction with our affiliation with Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and participation in the national All Of Us Research Program, provide our residents with opportunities and resources to engage in critical research that changes lives.

Approximately 57 percent of Boston Medical Center‘s patients come from underserved populations, including low-income families, elders, people with disabilities and, immigrants. Through partnerships with our residency and fellowship programs, clinical departments, and administrative offices, we aim to provide a diverse physician staff to enhance the quality of care for the patients we serve.
