About

Dr. Paul Hammerness is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, and Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at BMC and BU School of Medicine. Dr. Hammerness has been involved in clinical care, teaching and research for the past 20 years, with expertise in ADHD across the lifespan, Pediatric psychopharmacology, with dozens of peer reviewed publications and lectures locally, nationally and internationally. Dr. Hammerness has held increasing leadership roles across academic institutions, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital, as well as Southcoast Health, prior to joining BMC in 2023.
