Campus Construction Update

Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. This, along with the ongoing Yawkey building entrance closure, will help us bring you an even better campus experience that matches the exceptional care you've come to expect. About

Purva Ranchal, MD, MEd, is a board-certified primary care physician at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Dr. Ranchal is also an assistant professor of medicine, Associate Clerkship Director for fourth year medical students in the Advanced Internal Medicine Ambulatory Clerkship (Medicine II), Director of Early Clinician Development, and a member of the Academy of Medical Educators at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She is passionate about medical education and has a particular interest in improving the transition from undergraduate medical education (UME) to graduate medical education (GME). She is the program lead for ambulatory boot camp for internal medicine interns at BMC. Dr. Ranchal has expertise in designing competency-based curricula, curriculum evaluation methods, and teaching methods. Her research and clinical interests include medical education, curriculum development, hospital medicine, primary care, and chronic diseases.
