Campus Construction Update

About

Robin R. Ingalls, MD, is an Infectious Disease Physician at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and a professor of infectious diseases at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. She is also the Medical Director of the Special Pathogens Unit (SPU) at BMC, a state-of-the-art maximum containment facility developed to support researchers at the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory (NEIDL). Her research focuses on understanding how pathogens are detected at mucosal surfaces and how infection can lead to local and systemic damage, with an emphasis on reproductive immunology and women's health. She is also interested in emerging infectious diseases and their intersection with infection control and research safety. Dr. Ingalls is also a professor of Virology and a primary mentor of graduate students at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and a member of the Evans Center for Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research and the Genome Science Institute at Boston University.
