BMC and GME are committed to creating and sustaining an inclusive workplace where everyone is valued and engaged, not in spite of, but because of, our differences – seen or unseen. We recognize that creating and maintain a workplace that meets our inclusion goals means working to proactively mitigate micro-macro aggressions experienced in the workplace. The GME DEI Fellows work to support this commitment and serve as a resource to all trainees at BMC.

What is a DEI Fellow?

D&I Fellows are available as an optional first point of contact for other trainees who wish to raise a concern and may not feel comfortable talking to a Program Director or Human Resources. The DEI Fellows provide:

  • Trust: to be a safe and trusted colleague to speak to about your concerns
  • Support: to support their colleague in that moment, and care for the person
  • Process: to assist you in both understanding and navigating the process for reporting concerns
