Please enter the Menino and Yawkey buildings through the Moakley building, and make sure to leave extra time to get to your appointment. Thank you for your patience.

National Leaders, Groundbreakers, and Path-Builders dedicated to Fighting for Justice, Cultivating Shared Spaces of Healing, and Designing New Systems Grounded in the Joy of Children, Families, and Communities

BOSTON, Mass– Vital Village Networks will host its 11th annual National Community Leadership Summit on October 1st and 2nd ( www.vitalvillagesummit.org ). The summit brings together trailblazers from around the country who are dedicated to helping children and families get equitable access to the resources they need to thrive. Through keynote discussions, cross-sector panels, and dedicated connection and reflection sessions attendees will be encouraged to network with community leaders, policymakers, educators, practitioners, community-based organizations, researchers, funders, and families to discuss community-building and engagement strategies to promote child wellbeing.

This year’s summit theme, Radical Connection and Renewal for Collective Liberation, calls for national changemakers to join together and nourish, restore, and co-create. Our keynote speaker, Mia Birdsong, is a world builder who lives and breathes the transformative power of community, kicking off our day 1 conversation on Radical Community Connection. Additional panelists and speakers will be joining us from across different industries including education, birth justice, policy, food justice, and more.

Last year, we celebrated our 10th summit by returning to Boston for an in-person experience to elevate learning, connection, and inspiration. This year’s summit will focus on opportunities for engagement and networking as we create spaces that foster belonging and connection at Vital Village Network’s first two-day summit.

"The summit is designed to drive social transformation. In this space, we ignite our collective power to reshape our communities, driving meaningful and lasting change through our shared commitment to collective action in advancing health and educational justice." — Renée Boynton-Jarrett, founding director of Vital Village Networks.
