Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. This, along with the ongoing Yawkey building entrance closure, will help us bring you an even better campus experience that matches the exceptional care you've come to expect. Please enter the Menino and Yawkey buildings through the Moakley building, and make sure to leave extra time to get to your appointment. Thank you for your patience.

Fibroadenoma is a type of non-cancerous breast tumor. It's a solid lump, and usually feels firm, rubber, and smooth. It can be different shapes and you can easily move it within your breast tissue. You may have one or multiple lumps.

Fibroadenomas are most common in women between ages 15 and 35. Many fibroadenomas don't cause symptoms and don't need treatment. However, you should see a doctor if you have a new breast lump, have other breast changes, or the size of the lump gets much bigger.
