Fibrocystic breast, previously called fibrocystic breast disease, is a condition where your breast tissue feels lumpy. This is a common, especially just before menstruation.

Fibrocystic changes in your breast may not cause symptoms, though some people may have pain, tenderness, and lumps in their breast.

While fibrocystic breast changes are normal, you should see a doctor if you have a breast lump that won't go away, your breast pain gets worse or doesn't go away, you have breast changes even after your period, a breast lump seems to be growing. In these cases, your doctor may drain the fluid from the cyst or remove it with surgery.
