Campus Construction Update

Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. This, along with the ongoing Yawkey building entrance closure, will help us bring you an even better campus experience that matches the exceptional care you've come to expect. Research has shown that good nutrition is an important component in the prevention and management of many diseases. It is necessary for optimal growth and development. Nutrition counseling is provided at various sites at Boston Medical Center. An outpatient dietitian is available in the pediatric clinic several hours each week. A dietitian will meet with you to provide individual nutrition counseling.

The dietitians provide counseling for all types of nutrition and medical problems including:

  • Poor growth
  • Formula intolerance
  • Feeding difficulties
  • Food allergies
  • Lactose intolerance
  • Gastrointestinal disorders
  • Diabetes
  • Cardiac abnormalities
  • Renal failure
  • Obesity
  • Sports nutrition
  • Vegetarian diets
  • Inborn errors of metabolism
  • Epilepsy/Ketogenic diets
