Campus Construction Update

Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. This, along with the ongoing Yawkey building entrance closure, will help us bring you an even better campus experience that matches the exceptional care you've come to expect. Please enter the Menino and Yawkey buildings through the Moakley building, and make sure to leave extra time to get to your appointment. Thank you for your patience.

The Health Equity Accelerator is currently seeking applications for our Health Equity Pilot Award Program for projects designed to address the root causes of racial health inequity. This is an exciting opportunity to help advance health equity, and all members of the BMCHS and Boston University Medical Campus communities (including the BU Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Public Health, and Social Work) are encouraged to submit applications.

Research is central to ensuring we study the root causes of healthcare inequity and that we rigorously evaluate changes we implement. Thus, as part of its portfolio, the Health Equity Accelerator is now accepting applications for pilot projects designed to achieve one or more of the following goals:

  • Implement known evidence-informed interventions that address racial health inequities
  • Develop and evaluate new interventions that address racial health inequities
  • Evaluate the impact of an existing BMCHS program or intervention that addresses racial health inequities
  • Understand underlying drivers of racial health inequities through novel approaches that uncover new insights (e.g., observation of patient-provider interactions, shadowing of patients)

Proposals may be submitted for a period of 12-24 months. The funding request is $100,000 maximum. Applications must be received by no later than 5:00 PM ET on November 10, 2023 for consideration for the FY 2024 funding cycle.

For more information, please review the guidelines for applicants and directions for submitting an application.
