ServicesThe Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center consists of several programs that have been designed to offer comprehensive care to individuals and their families. Committed long-term contact provides patients who participate in the Center with individualized care and access to the newest developments rising from research and education programs. In addition to specialized clinical care, individuals may choose to participate in the latest clinical trials investigating new medications and therapies treating Parkinson's disease. The Center offers the most current and innovative medical and surgical treatments available. Individuals who suspect they have Parkinson's disease or have already been diagnosed with PD receive a comprehensive evaluation from a movement disorder specialist. A plan of care is developed which involves medication management, patient and family teaching and referral to rehabilitation specialists or special programs. A psychologist and a social worker are available for patient and family support.
