About

Dr. Frantz J. Gibbs is an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Boston Medical Center, and Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Gibbs has worked nationally and internationally over the past 23 years as an emergency medicine director, clinician educator and specialist in point-of care emergency ultrasound. He has directed the clinical practice of emergency medicine in a Level 1 trauma center, and led emergency department operations. As a physician educator, Dr. Gibbs has mentored and guided the clinical education of medical students, emergency medicine physicians and allied health professionals. His work has consisted of directing curriculum development, didactic programs and physician privileging in the practice of emergency medicine, with a special focus on point-of-care emergency ultrasound. He has lectured and led workshops regionally and internationally on clinical emergency ultrasound.
