About

Martin H. Steinberg, MD, is a board-certified hematologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and a professor of hematology and medical oncology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Steinberg completed an internal medicine residency at Tufts Medical Center. His clinical and research focus has been on red blood cell disorders with special emphasis on sickle cell disease (SCD). Dr. Steinberg has published 450 articles and three textbooks on the science and clinical features of sickle cell disease and related disorders.
