Campus Construction Update

Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. This, along with the ongoing Yawkey building entrance closure, will help us bring you an even better campus experience that matches the exceptional care you've come to expect. About

Suzanne E. Mitchell, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an adjunct associate professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Wake Forest University and continued her studies at the White Memorial Medical Center Family Medicine Residency program in Los Angeles before relocating to Boston, where she continued her work and research in cross-cultural communication, cultural competency, patient-doctor communication, and shared decision-making behavior. Dr. Mitchell is a member of the research team on transitions of care and the Project Re-Engineered Discharge (RED) at Boston University. Her expertise and interests include cultural competency, health disparities, shared decision making, motivational interviewing, transition of care, palliative care, and the use of novel health technology to enhance patient safety and informed patient choice.
