Campus Construction Update

Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. This, along with the ongoing Yawkey building entrance closure, will help us bring you an even better campus experience that matches the exceptional care you've come to expect. Please enter the Menino and Yawkey buildings through the Moakley building, and make sure to leave extra time to get to your appointment. Thank you for your patience.

The Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights (BCRHHR) is a key program of the BMC Immigrant & Refugee Health Center (IRHC), a cross-departmental Center at BMC that provides one central place through which BMC's immigrant and refugee patients can get connected with the physical, mental and social services they need to heal and thrive.

Please note that as of April 15 the Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights has relocated to 801 Massachusetts Ave (Crosstown Building), 1st floor.

Through an innovative model of outpatient care, BCRHHR provides comprehensive mental health services – including counseling and medication management – designed to meet the special needs of refugees and survivors of torture, asylum seekers and immigrants. BCRHHR providers are trained to provide forensic psychological assessments for patients who are involved in the asylum process and BCRHHR's case management and patient navigation teams support clients in connecting with other BMC health specialties including primary care and obstetric/gynecological care, as well as with social services both at our hospital and in the greater Boston community.

In an effort to serve survivors of torture and related trauma, the BCRHHR firmly recognizes the importance of providing care to the whole person and reaches out to refugee communities and torture survivors to offer a place of safety and trust. The BCRHHR also educates and trains agencies and professionals who serve this patient population and advocate for the promotion of health and human rights in the United States and worldwide.
