Campus Construction Update

Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. This, along with the ongoing Yawkey building entrance closure, will help us bring you an even better campus experience that matches the exceptional care you've come to expect. Please enter the Menino and Yawkey buildings through the Moakley building, and make sure to leave extra time to get to your appointment. Thank you for your patience.

What is a hospitalist and who does a hospitalist treat?

A hospitalist is a medical provider who cares for patients while they are in the hospital. We work closely with patients, families, specialists, nurses, and other hospital professionals to care for their patients. Hospitalists coordinate care with outpatient providers to ensure smooth transitions into and out of the hospital.

How do I contact my hospitalist after discharge?

  • For all patient-care issues, please call the Boston Medical Center page operator at 617.638.8000, and ask to be connected to the Hospitalist On-Call.
  • For all administrative issues, please contact the administrative offices for the Section of General Internal Medicine at 617.414.7399
