A cleft lip or palate can be corrected with surgery. This surgery will improve your child's ability to eat, speak, and breathe, as well as provide a more normal appearance.
Go to Detail PageSome children are born with ears that protrude further from the scalp than normal. Otoplasty combines procedures that re-creates absent folds that are normally in ears, reduces the amount of show of the ears by setting them back, and returns the ear to a more anatomically normal position. This is accomplished through an incision behind the ear and stitches are used to hold the cartilage in a new position. This is done as an outpatient procedure.
Go to Detail PageMaxillomandibular advancement, or sleep apnea jaw surgery, is a procedure that surgically moves the upper and lower jaws forward. The bones are surgically moved forward, as are the soft tissues of the tongue and palate. This causes the upper airway to open, which makes normal breathing possible during sleep.
Go to Detail PageMany of the injuries and pathology require that the hard and soft tissues of the facial region be rebuilt or enhanced. Tumor surgery (benign or malignant), traumatic injuries, infections, and congenital abnormalities can require different types of reconstructive surgery.
Go to Detail PageRevision Rhinoplasty is typically required when a previous rhinoplasty has not achieved its intended results, or has resulted in unwanted changes to the nose (which can occur over time). These cases tend to be more difficult and often require additional tissue grafting techniques to counteract the scar that has formed from the previous surgery.
Go to Detail PageScar revision is plastic surgery performed to improve the condition or appearance of a scar anywhere on your body. The type of scar you have will determine the appropriate techniques your plastic surgeon will use to improve your scar.
