Stroganoff is a Russian dish of sautéed meat served in a sauce. This dish has become popular around the world and ingredients vary from country to country. 

Ingredients


Noodles - 12 oz egg noodles Onion - 1 medium Mushrooms – 8-10 oz Oil – 1 Tablespoon avocado, canola, peanut, sesame or light olive oil Meat - 1 lb ground turkey, lean beef, pork, or vegetarian substitute Worcestershire_sauce – 1 Tablespoon Broth – 2 cups low sodium chicken or vegetble Flour - 2 Tablespoons all-purpose or gluten free (optional) Yogurt – ½ cup plain, low-fat Greek yogurt

Instructions

Step 1
Cook pasta as instructed on the label in a large stockpot. Strain pasta once cooked.
Step 2
While the pasta is cooking, chop the onion and slice the mushrooms.
Step 3
Using the same pot you cooked the pasta in, heat oil in a stockpot over medium high heat.
Step 4
Add the mushroom and onions and cook for 5 minutes or until soft.
Step 5
Add the ground meat and cook for 5 minutes or until browned.
Step 6
Add the Worcestershire sauce and broth and cook for 20 minutes or until reduced.
Step 7
Stir in the flour.
Step 8
Stir in the yogurt.
Step 9
Add the pasta to the mixture. Serve hot.
