Campus Construction Update

Joseph Kaserman, MD is a board-certified pulmonologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an assistant professor of Pulmonary, Allergy, Sleep & Critical Care Medicine at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr Kaserman is an established researcher in the Wilson Lab at the Center for Regenerative Medicine of Boston University and BMC. His research focuses on the use of gene editing technology to develop potential new treatments for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, a genetic disease that may result in serious lung disease in adults and/or liver disease at any age. He has been recognized for his work in this area, including receiving the inaugural John W. Walsh Translational Research Award in 2018.
