Boston Medical Center’s GME Intern Mentorship Program is designed to create a welcoming and supportive community for interns. Our dedicated mentors are available to help each mentee adapt to their new environment and smoothly transition from medical student to resident.

Throughout the year, we host social and educational events that encourage cross-program connections while promoting both physical and mental wellness.

Guidance and Support

It’s important for mentees to remember that mentors are available to offer guidance and support. They have navigated similar experiences and can provide valuable advice on a range of topics, including transitioning to residency, adjusting to life in Boston, and overcoming challenges that may arise. Your mentor can also help you access resources and develop strategies to address and process any difficulties effectively.

As a mentee, you will have the opportunity to take part in social and educational events that promote mental health, wellness, and a sense of community among residents. These events are designed to help you build meaningful connections and develop effective coping mechanisms. Recognizing your mentors and peers as valuable sources of support and guidance can make your transition smoother and more manageable.
