Campus Construction Update

Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. This, along with the ongoing Yawkey building entrance closure, will help us bring you an even better campus experience that matches the exceptional care you've come to expect. Please enter the Menino and Yawkey buildings through the Moakley building, and make sure to leave extra time to get to your appointment. Thank you for your patience.

Boston HealthNet Uber Ridership

Patients with WellSense Health Plan insurance have access to a free Uber ridership program between some neighborhood health centers and BMC. If you are scheduled for an appointment at BMC, please ask the front desk at your health center how to access a free Uber ride.

Evening & Weekend Escort Service

An escort service to Boston University Medical Campus (BUMC) parking facilities and Broadway Station of the MBTA is available for BUMC commuters and visitors Monday-Friday 12:00 AM - 6:00 AM, and at all hours during weekends and official holidays. The escort service can be requested at the BMC Menino Pavilion Security desk on the ground floor near the Emergency Department.

People requesting escort services are required to sign the Security register and to present proper identification. Security personnel are not authorized to drop a passenger off anywhere except at his or her vehicle in a BUMC parking facility or at a BUMC facility or Broadway MBTA Station.

There are occasional delays when the Security vehicle is being used for an emergency, so please call ahead to Security at 617.414.4444 for BUMC Harrison Avenue Campus before going to the Security desk.

Pick up and drop off location: 85 East Concord St.

This shuttle operates between the VA Hospital in Jamaica Plain and Boston Medical Center. The schedule is listed below. Please arrive at the stop a few minutes before scheduled departure times. Times are subject to weather and traffic conditions.

BU Charles River Campus and Medical Center Campus Shuttles

The Medical Campus bus will leave the Charles River Campus from the corner of Sherborn Street and Commonwealth Avenue in front of the School of Education. This is now a direct bus to and from the Medical Campus making no other stops.

The bus is a free shuttle for BMC employees, BU faculty, staff and students that connects the BU Charles River Campus to the BU Medical Campus. Please have a valid BMC or BU ID.

Evening Shuttle

For faculty, staff and students only.

The Evening Shuttle boards at ONE CENTRAL STOP located at 710 Albany Street / Albany Street Garage. This site is indoor, well-lit and includes a 24-hour staff on site.

This shuttle operates Monday-Friday (except holidays) at 5:15 PM, 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, 9:15 PM, 10:15 PM, 11:15 PM, and 12:15 AM.

The Shuttle Travels ON REQUEST to:

  • MBTA Stations: Andrews (Red), Broadway (Red), Ruggles (Orange), Back Bay (Orange), and Copley (Green)
  • South End Neighborhood Locations within one mile. Due to time constraints, the 5:15 PM shuttle will be unable to drive passengers within ONE MILE to their homes. The regular practice will continue with later shuttles.
