Dr. Tornetta leads the Orthopedic Trauma Research Consortium. As an expert in multicenter clinical trials and clinical ... trials methodology, he is a prolific researcher and the author of more than 250 peer-reviewed publications, and he has developed new surgical techniques and implants.
Dr. Tornetta received his Doctor of Philosophy from University of Groningen, the Netherlands and his medical degree from SUNY-Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where he also completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery, followed by a fellowship in acetabular/pelvic fractures at the Hospital of the Good Samaritan in Los Angeles under Joel Matta, MD. He received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and mathematics from Franklin and Marshall College. Dr. Tornetta has been a member of numerous boards, committees, associations, and symposia.
