Who We Are
Boston Medical Center’s Community Behavioral Health Center (BMC CBHC) launched in January 2023. BMC CBHC is part of the statewide network of CBHCs across Massachusetts that offer immediate and confidential care for mental health and substance use needs. BMC CBHC is comprised of the BEST Team, the CBHC Clinic (formerly known as the Bridge Clinic), and Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) units for youth and adults.
Public statement of commitment to equity:
At BMC’s CBHC, we are committed to creating an inclusive, equitable mental health system that provides every person with the highest quality care in a timely manner. We approach behavioral health equity as the elimination of barriers that limit access to quality mental health care based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, language, socioeconomic status, justice involvement, or other social determinants through care that is accessible, culturally-sensitive, and trauma-informed. Through strong community partnerships, a diverse and inclusive workforce inclusive of peer support, and transparency in our progress, we strive to build a mental health system that is exceptional mental health care for all, providing a source of healing, dignity, and empowerment for all. At BMC’s CBHC, equity is more than a value—it is our commitment to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive based on their personal autonomy.
