Campus Construction Update

Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. About

Dr. Katharine O’Connell White is a gynecologist and the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at BMC, and associate professor and Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine.

For over 20 years, Dr. White has been a reproductive health clinician, educator, researcher, and advocate for people who can become pregnant, with expertise in miscarriage care, chronic vaginitis, and sexual wellness / dysfunction. She conducts multiple research studies in various areas of contraception and abortion, and frequently lectures locally and nationally on a number of topics related to reproductive health. Dr. White is also the author of Your Guide to Miscarriage and Pregnancy Loss and Your Sexual Health.

Dr. White received her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, her Master in Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, and her bachelor's degree from Duke University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School—Baystate Campus and her fellowship in family planning at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. White is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and of the Society of Family Planning, and a member of the American Public Health Association.
