Education and training

Urology residency program

The Department of Urology trains residents in the art, science, and practice of urology. Residents receive instruction in all sub-specialties of urology in our high-volume and diverse clinic. We also educate medical students at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine on foundational concepts in urology.

Fellowship in sexual medicine and infertility

The BMC Urology Department oversees a a post-residency fellowship in sexual medicine and infertility that provides training for added expertise in these sub-specialty areas of urology. This is a one-year research and clinical fellowship, with one day of protected research time each week.

Research

Urology research overview

Research performed in our department is clinical in nature and focuses on improving urologic care. We are currently working on making our research become more integrated into what we do every day by creating new infrastructure for research.
