Jeffrey Siracuse, MD, MBA, is Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and the Associate Chair for Quality and Patient Safety in the Department of Surgery. Dr. Siracuse is also Professor of Surgery and Radiology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. At Boston Medical Center, Dr. Siracuse is the director of the vascular surgery fellowship program. ... He received his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed general surgery residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Siracuse holds a master’s degree in business administration from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. Quality improvement at the institutional, regional, and national level has been a focus for Dr. Siracuse, who is a Surgeon Champion for the American College of Surgeons’ National Surgical Quality Improvement Program. As Medical Director of the Vascular Study Group of New England, which focuses on improving quality and safety in caring for patients with vascular disease, he oversees quality initiatives. Dr. Siracuse is the author of more than 280 peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous chapters.
