About Diabetes Essentials

At BMC, we understand that having diabetes is not easy. Our Certified Diabetes Educators (CDEs) are here to offer you a fun way to develop the necessary tools to balance diet, exercise and medications. The Conversation Map program that we use for diabetes education is an innovative tool developed in collaboration with the American Diabetes Association. Guided by certified facilitators, the program has been adapted to a 3-class series. The 3rd class includes a cooking demonstration provided by our Culinary Dietitians.

For more information and program dates, please visit the diabetes education webpage. If you have a diagnosis of diabetes and would like to register for the class, please have your primary care provider for a DSME referral.

Please contact dsme@bmc.org with additional questions.
