All patients and visitors on our main campus must enter our hospital via Shapiro, Menino, or Moakley buildings, where they will be greeted by team members at a new centralized check-in desk before continuing to the hospital. A bone fracture is a broken bone, which can happen to any bone in the body. Fractures require medical attention. Injury is the most common cause, with symptoms including bruising, bleeding, difficulty breathing and in the case of a limb (arm, leg), deformity. Diseases like osteoporosis can weaken bones, making them more susceptible to breaking.
