This apple salad can sweeten up your meal without any added sugar. Try it as a side dish with your protein of choice, like our Spicy Crunchy Chicken Burgers, our Crispy Baked Chicken or our Sauteed Chicken. It would also work well with fish, or a vegetarian protein.
Apples
- 2 medium
Raisins
- 2 Tablespoons (or dried cranberries, dried cherries, dried apricots chopped)
Yogurt
- 3 Tablespoons plain, low-fat or fat-free
Walnuts
- 1 Tablespoon, chopped (or use any nut or seed of choice)
Honey
- 1 Tablespoon (optional)
Step 1
Rinse apples and cut into 1-inch pieces, removing the core.
Step 2
Place the apples in a bowl with the yogurt, raisins and honey (if using), and mix to combine.
Step 3
Add chopped nuts, toss, and serve.
