Campus Construction Update

Starting September 14, we’re closing the Menino building lobby entrance. This, along with the ongoing Yawkey building entrance closure, will help us bring you an even better campus experience that matches the exceptional care you've come to expect. Please enter the Menino and Yawkey buildings through the Moakley building, and make sure to leave extra time to get to your appointment. Thank you for your patience.

Making your own tomato sauce not only makes your kitchen smell delicious, but gives you control over all the ingredients! Enjoy this over pasta, or zucchini noodles. 

Ingredients


Oil - 1 teaspoon olive oil, canola, avocado or sesame oil Onion - ½ cup, diced Garlic - 1 Tablespoon, minced Tomatoes - 1 (28-oz) can, no-salt-added, crushed or diced Basil - ¼ cup fresh, chopped 1½ teaspoons dried Pepper_flakes - ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) Salt - ¼ teaspoon

Instructions

Step 1
Sauté onion and garlic in oil over medium heat until soft, about 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, basil, red pepper flakes and salt. Simmer, covered, on low for 15 minutes.

Notes

Tastes great topped with a little grated parmesan cheese
