About

Richard D’Innocenzo, DMD, is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon affiliated with Boston Medical Center (BMC). He is also the assistant dean for medical education, a clinical professor of general dentistry, and a clinical professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. D’Innocenzo received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and his MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. D’Innocenzo's areas of interest include residency education, administration, ambulatory general anesthesia, treatment of maxillofacial pathology, and dental implantology. He is a past president of the Massachusetts Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and past chair of the American Dental Education Association Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Anesthesia/Hospital Dentistry. Dr. D’Innocenzo routinely presents scientific abstracts and presentations at national meetings and is also a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists.
