About

Tuhina Neogi, MD, PhD, is Chief of Rheumatology at Boston Medical Center (BMC), a professor of Epidemiology at Boston University School of Public Health, and Section Chief of Rheumatology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Dr. Neogi is also head of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Committee on Quality of Care (QOC). A rheumatologist and epidemiologist, Dr. Neogi is an expert in rheumatic diseases, osteoarthritis, gout, and hyperuricemia and her research focuses on osteoarthritis and gout, pain mechanisms in osteoarthritis, and methodologic issues of relevance for rheumatic diseases. Dr. Neogi has published over 300 peer-reviewed publications to date and is the recipient of many honors, including the 2014 ACR Henry Kunkel Young Investigator Award and the 2022 OARSI Clinical Research Award. In addition to her research, clinical work, and teaching, one Dr. Neogi’s key roles is to mentor trainees and junior faculty in musculoskeletal disease-related research.
