About Healthy Habits

Healthy Habits is a virtual class where you learn healthy eating tips to improve issues related to metabolic health. You will learn about how the role of the food group in the body, nutritional differences within the food group, and how to cook items from that food group. We offer these classes twice a month. 

Protein

Learn about the importance of protein in the diet, what foods are good sources of protein, and healthy eating tips to help you get the right amount.

Vegetables

Did you know that vegetables vary a lot, nutritionally? Starchy vegetables that are higher in carbohydrates. Some vegetables are higher in protein (beans), while others are higher in fat (avocado). Non-starchy vegetables  are mainly water, fiber, and micronutrients. Meet our dietitians and learn about the importance of vegetables in the diet, and healthy eating tips to help you get the right amount.

Carbohydrates

Learn about the health benefits of carbohydrate foods, what foods are great sources of carbohydrates, and how to include them in your daily diet!

Fats

Learn about the role of fat in health, heart healthy fats to include in your diet, and how to incorporate them in your daily diet!
