About

Claire Barton is a genetic counselor in the Department of Pediatrics and The Cancer Center as well as an Instructor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Claire completed her bachelor’s degree at Vanderbilt University and her master’s degree in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling at Stanford University School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include pediatric genetic syndromes, adult genetic conditions, cancer syndromes. Her research interests include optimizing and enhancing genetic counseling services to promote active engagement, particularly when there is a language difference between patient and provider. Claire has been practicing as a genetic counselor since 2022 and enjoys seeing patients of all ages.
