Rice pairs well with many of the recipes in the BMC teaching kitchen. Brown rice, unlike white rice, contains fiber and protein.
Rice
- 2 cups parboiled, brown rice
Salt
- 1 teaspoon
Step 1
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium sized pot.
Step 2
Season the water with 1 tsp salt.
Step 3
Add parboiled brown rice.
Step 4
Lower the heat to the lowest setting and cover the pot with a lid.
Step 5
Simmer the rice for 18-20 minutes.
