Andrew A. Wilson MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and an expert in caring for patients with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD), the most common heritable cause of emphysema. Dr. Wilson is also an associate professor of Pulmonary, Allergy, Sleep & Critical Care Medicine and a primary mentor of graduate students at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian
... School of Medicine. His research focuses on advancing the understanding of and treatment for AATD and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Dr. Wilson is the director of the Alpha-1 Center as well as a member of Boston University’s Pulmonary Center, Center for Regenerative Medicine and Evans Center for Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research.
